Tupac

2pac's full name is Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in East Harlem of Manhattan New York City, named after a Peruvian revolutionary who led indigenous uprising against Spain and was executed. in the summer of 1988 Tupac and his family move to Marin City, California where later Tupac would be signed as a roadie and backup dancer for the the rap group Digital Underground in 1990. Tupac debut on digital underground's single "Same Song" which showed Pac rapping in a African cloth. Through out Tupac's life he was involved in many controversial and legal issues which helped his stardom and fueled his record sales, but the publicity also sparked an outcry for his music and music of the same lyrical content to be banned from the radio and for the albums to be banned from the shelves of retailer's. The negative image that was painted by the media and all the controversy makes Tupac to seem to be a negative influence on society but in retrospect his music and lyrics helped America see the other side of the hip-hop and the struggles of the black people in America.
